Currency Notes Update: ભારતમાં જ્યારે કાગળની નોટોનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે, ત્યારે તે ગંદી અથવા ફાટી કે સડી (mutilated notes) જવી ખૂબ જ સામાન્ય છે.

ઘણી વખત જ્યારે આપણે બેંકના એટીએમમાંથી પૈસા ઉપાડવા જઈએ છીએ, ત્યારે પણ ફાટેલી નોટો લઈને આવીએ છીએ.

જો તમારી પાસે એવી નોટો છે કે જેના ટુકડા અલગ-અલગ હોય અથવા ખૂબ જ ખરાબ હાલતમાં હોય, તો હવે રિઝર્વ બેંક ઓફ ઈન્ડિયા (Reserve Bank of India) દ્વારા આ અંગે નિયમો જારી કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.

ભારતીય રિઝર્વ બેંક (RBI) એ ભારતની દરેક બેંકને નવી નોટો માટે ગંદી, ફાટેલી અને ક્ષતિગ્રસ્ત નોટોના વિનિમયની સુવિધા આપવાનો આદેશ આપ્યો છે, પરંતુ આવી નોટોની કિંમત નક્કી કરવા માટે નિયમો બનાવવામાં આવ્યા છે.

ચાલો જાણીએ આ નિયમો વિશે -આરબીઆઈ (RBI) તરફથી મળેલી માહિતી અનુસાર જો તમારી પાસે પણ ફાટેલી કે સડેલી નોટો છે તો ગભરાવાની જરૂર નથી. આરબીઆઈ અને અન્ય કોઈ બેંક આવી નોટો સ્વીકારવાનો ઈન્કાર કરી શકે નહીં.

RBI (નોટ રિફંડ) નિયમો હેઠળ, ફાટેલી અથવા સડેલી નોટો બદલી શકાય છે.તમને જણાવી દઈએ કે દેશભરની આરબીઆઈ ઓફિસ અથવા બેંકોમાં નકામી નોટો બદલી શકાય છે. જો કે, રિફંડ સંપૂર્ણપણે નોટની સ્થિતિ પર નિર્ભર કરે છે.

What kind of notes are torn?

According to the information given on the official website of RBI, the length of the 2000 rupee note is 16.6 cm, width 6.6 cm and area 109.56 square centimeter. At the same time,

if your note is 88 square centimeters, you will get the full amount. Apart from this, if your note is 44 square centimeter then only half refund will be given.

What is the rule regarding 500 rupee note?

On the other hand, the length of the 500 rupee note is 15 cm, width 6.6 cm and area 99 square centimeters. In such a case, if the size of the Rs 500 note is 80 square centimetres, a full refund will be given, while if it is 40 square centimetres, a half refund will be given.
